SUMMARY:Munich Security Conference (MSC)
DESCRIPTION:The world’s leading forum for debating international security policy. The MSC 2025 came at a pivotal moment of change: a new US administration took office in January\, a new cycle of European legislature in Brussels and German parliamentary elections followed just one week after the conference. \nAfter an opening by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on February 14\, hundreds of decision-makers and opinion leaders from different regions of the world discussed the world’s security policy challenges under the chairmanship of Christoph Heusgen. \nOn Friday\, the conference’s main program started with a focus on global security challenges\, including global governance\, democratic resilience\, climate security\, and many more topics. On Saturday\, debates took place on the state of the international order as well as regional conflicts and crises. The future of the transatlantic partnership was also a focus of the second day of the conference. On Sunday\, the conference wraped up with discussions on Europe’s role in the world. \nThe MSC 2025 once again served as a marketplace for ideas and created space for as many relevant and consequential debates as possible. As in previous years\, the conference’s program consisted of three parts: the main program curated by the MSC\, around 200 official side events\, and dozens of public outreach events. The day before the conference\, the Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany\, Jörg Kukies\, brought together ministers and high representatives from international institutions for the 4th No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing. \nAt the end of the third and last conference day\, Jens Stoltenberg succeeded Christoph Heusgen as the new Chair of the MSC.

SUMMARY:Interpol General Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The Interpol General Assembly will be held from 24 to 27 November 2025 in Marrakech. The General Assembly is INTERPOL’s supreme governing body\, comprising representatives from each of our member countries. It meets once a year and each session lasts around four days. \nEach member country may be represented by one or several delegates who are typically chiefs of police and senior ministry officials. \nIts purpose is to ensure that INTERPOL’s activities correspond to the needs of our member countries. It does this by determining the principles and measures for the Organization to reach its objectives\, and by reviewing and approving the programme of activities and financial policy for the coming year. \nIn addition\, the General Assembly elects the members of the Executive Committee\, the governing body which provides guidance and direction in between sessions of the Assembly. \nOn the agenda each year are also the major crime trends and security threats facing the world. \nAs the largest global gathering of senior law enforcement officials\, the General Assembly also provides an important opportunity for countries to network and share experiences.

SUMMARY:European Criminal Analysis Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:EU CrimACon 2025: Adapting analytical methods to the changing DNA of crimeJoin Europol’s annual European Criminal Analysis Conference on 16-17 September in The Hague. \nIn today’s rapidly evolving criminal landscape\, intelligence analysts are vital to the success of criminal investigations\, bringing clarity to complex and fragmented information. \nHowever\, traditional methods face immense challenges: crime is evolving at an unprecedented pace\, exploiting new technologies\, and using encrypted networks\, decentralized financial systems\, and crime-as-a-service operations. \nWhat to expect at EU CrimACon 2025\nAs data access tightens and networks become more hidden\, the need for innovative approaches to extract insights\, connect the dots\, and foresee emerging threats has never been more critical. \nEU CrimACon 2025 will focus on addressing these evolving challenges faced by intelligence analysts. Through experts presentations\, case studies\, and collaborative discussions\, we’ll explore transformative analytical methodologies to remain at the forefront in a landscape defined by restricted access to critical data. \nThe conference will also feature recognition of outstanding work by operational and strategic analysts in the EU\, as Europol presents the annual Criminal Analyst of the Year Award during the conference.
