European countries come together to fight organised crime

Council of Europe justice ministers strengthen cross-border cooperation and mutual assistance.
The Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on judicial co-operation in criminal matters (PC-OC), under the authority of the European Committee on Crime Problems (CDPC), prepared the new Protocol, having identified the need to revise certain provisions of the 1959 Convention, particularly in the light of the increasing use of digital tools in judicial cooperation. The Protocol thus reflects the insight and experience of practitioners who apply the Convention on a daily basis.
